Man Song Prince Hill is the most priced Puerh region, for a number of reasons. 1st, the ancient tea garden here had been producing tribute teas specifically for emperors since Ming dynasty for over 500 years. 2ndly, during republic period, in early 1900s, the garden was burned by rebels leaving less than 100 survived ancient tea trees, the village was abandoned, only in recent years old villagers has gone back to the old village and started harvesting again, hence production is extremely small and extremely pricey. The highest price for continuous harvests in the Puerh world today, excluding aged teas.
Man Song Puerh is a gentle soul, it doesn't appear with a grant entry like other puerhs, but the soft cotton like energy flows like a stream, gentle, nurturing and constant.
2024 harvest is brighter and more intense than previous years due to the dry weather, resulting a richer texture.
Use 3 g for a normal coffee mug size cup, off boil water approximately 209 F. Best result with Kungfu style brewing with either a teapot or gaiwan.
Recommended water for all teas: very good quality filtered water, ie reverse osmosis filtered water. Spring water suppresses the fragrance quite a bit. Tap water is prohibited!
