This is a very unique puerh tea, harvest in early spring from a thousand years old wild puerh tea tree.
Each year in early Spring, only a small batch of these sprouts are harvested within a small window of period.
Purple tea trees live on high altitude mountains only, it's a self-protecting mechanism to protect itself from the direct sun ray which lower altitude does not need.
These young buds are extremely flavorful with a mango pudding flavor, sweet fruity with a hint of a floral note, even though the taste appears mild in the cup, the aftertaste can linger for more than an hour long. It's a puerh tea without the usual earth musky harsh taste. A very mellow tea with a strong energy and an understated strong personality.
This tea performs better with mug style steeping, no need for Kungfu style.
A tea you have to try it to believe it!
