This crop is harvested from the wild, Pu Jian is the leaves that aren't the right shape and size for making Nie Jian - hand rolled TPHK. the size doesn't change the quality but less desirable for the appearance. In fact, this batch of leaves are very bright, very crisp, super floral, spring wild flowers, sweet morning dew! Not grassy, bitter or astringent. Delightful, refreshing cup of tea that starts your day the right way!
A great green tea requires hot temperature water.
Use 4 g for a normal coffee mug size cup, off boil water approximately 209 F. Best result with Kungfu style brewing with either a teapot or gaiwan.
Recommended water for all teas: very good quality filtered water, ie reverse osmosis filtered water. Spring water suppresses the fragrance quite a bit. Tap water is prohibited!
