Rich chocolate bread, woody, maple syrup. One of the best yancha we have encountered.
Gu Jing is considered the best of Hui Yuan Keng Lao Cong Shui Xian. Hui Yuan Keng is a valley area including multiple small flats of tea plantation, Shui Xian is the main varietal here, some tea trees are over 100 years old. Gu Jing is about 45 minutes on foot deep into the wild, a small jungle area that is home to old trees of Shui Xian. Yancha from here is highly sought after for the quality of rich and smooth characteristics and deep flavors.
Recommended water for all teas: very good quality filtered water, ie reverse osmosis filtered water. Spring water suppresses the fragrance quite a bit. Tap water is prohibited!
