De Cao Qing, a traditional Yixing purple clay prized for its fine texture, warm earthy tone, and natural mineral character. After firing, it typically develops a deep purplish-brown to reddish-brown color with a subtle, refined surface. With use, the clay can gradually develop a richer luster and patina. The carefully blended Yixing clay is well suited to Gongfu brewing.
