Incense Workshop

The burning of incense is a traditional practice that is deeply tied with Chinese tea drinking culture and history. This workshop will introduce the history and health benefits of incense, the different materials typically used in Chinese incense (agarwood, ambergris, sandalwood), the different forms of incense (sticks, coils, oud chips, powder, oil). There will be demonstrations of how to burn the various forms of incense. Participants will also have the opportunity to smell the different types of incense and learn how to identify good quality incense. At the end, complimentary tea of the season will be provided to complete the experience.
